(i) Waste management and the circular economy in Africa are estimated to be an annual $8 billion market opportunity. No African nation has claimed leadership.
(ii) Green fintech solutions are experiencing a boom, i.e. funding green consumer products, yet no country has made a name for itself as a green fintech hub.
(iii) Battery production could be localised given many mineral ingredients are mined in Africa, but no mining nation has sufficiently prioritised onshoring.
(iv) Healthcare in Africa is increasingly a climate issue. No government is known to have focused on this – and reaped the benefits in investment and grants.
(v) Biodiversity funding is seeing a flurry of innovation, generating new financial solutions, yet nowhere has made itself the capital of bio-credits.
(vi) Wind power in Africa is vast, exceeding current global capacity. Who will put up the premier sails to catch it by being known for expertise and access to capital?
